The strip, 21km long and only 200m wide in places, separates the Mar Menor from the Mediterranean; clubs, casinos, marinas. The strip gets extremely busy in the high summer months. The centre at El Zocco offers a selection of late night bars for those wishing to dance the night away.
At La Manga Strip you will be spoilt for choice with beaches on both sides stretching for miles & separating the Mar Menor on one side & the Mediterranean Sea on the other
At the far end is La Llana beach - long and sady with foot showers during main season. Another blue flag beach, with mild water and some waves in parts
Nearer the start of The Strip is Euromanga beach - sandy and pleasant with calm waters
At the start of the Strip the landmark of a historic lighthouse is situated in the region of Cabo de Palos. A pleasant walk along the harbour, cliff tops and various beaches such as Cala Medina, Las Melvas and Calle Levante give views of the Islas Hormigas, very popular with scuba divers. After the circular walk a great lunch or dinner can be enjoyed at the many good fish and paella restaurants on the harbour front such as La Tana, the Miramar and El Mosqui
